The Chi Society is a network of private foster homes in New England and Tucson, AZ. With our partner, PAWS of NELA, we have saved several thousand dogs from needless, cruel deaths during the time we've been operating.
We have developed both local and long distance programs that allow a qualified adopter to have just about any dog they fall in love with; long distance is not a barrier. We use two top rated transporters to move dogs out of high kill Southern shelters, to safe, loving homes in the Northeast. Recently, we created Chi Society West, in Southern Arizona, rescuing dogs in the desert, as well as Chi Haven Sanctuary, for ailing, elderly or special needs Chihuahuas.
We found Leah in a shelter with a life threatening condition, so Chihuahua or not, we scooped her up and into surgery immediately. She is currently livin' large with her doting family in Tucson, AZ.
.
Although we help many small breeds, we remain a Chihuahua rescue first and foremost. This tiny but mighty breed can live 20 years or more, therefore, there are many Chis hanging around the universe needing help.
From puppies to blind and deaf
seniors, smooth coated, long
haired, apple heads and deer types,
